Description:
Svithiod Home, built in 1927, was located at 26500 Edgewood Road, Shorewood MN.Svithiod Home was a Swedish Retirement Home. In order to live there a person had to belong to the Swedish organization "Order of the Svithiod" Insurance Group. The cooking, cleaning and yard work was done by the residents and there was an infirmary on the premises. It was bought in 1971 by Melvin McCosh.
