Members of the John Mann household posing on the three porches of the house. John Mann was a hotel keeper and steamboat owner. He bought 400 acres on Birch Bluff for $4.00 and acre in gold from a family frightened away by the Indian uprising. The Sue Gardiner was the second boat by John Mann.
