Description:
Three men and two women standing in front of H.F. Bullens on Water Street (223—227 Water Street). Written on back of back of picture: "Taken from right Chas. Sigafoos, Belvia Bennett, Mary Hempfer (later Mrs. Buels and then Mrs. Harley Bennett), next either Sylvester Moody or Lowell Moody, last is Ed Widstrand. Also notice the horse and buggy is parked the wrong way which wasn't a problem as there wasn't much traffic then. The next place was the old Aug. Hay Meat Market, next to that is the old building that became the Smith Feed Store. The billboard site was later the old theater building and last building on the street shows the corner of the old Beers building." Donated by Willis W. Wilson. Picture was taken about 1900 or 1902.
