Steamboat Image Collection
Description:
The steamer "New Acte" off Excelsior docks. She was built in 1898 by George Godfrey for Captain Charles Cheeley. She soon reverted to the name of her predecessor the "Acte". She had the capacity to carry 100 passengers. He ran her until 1905. She was pruchased on 1907 by Alfred Melvin. She burned on August 15, 1097. ADOOB by Scott McGinnis. The book states the date as c1899.
