The "Ewauna". Her captain was William F. Mann. Birch Bluff, Lake Minnetonka. This boat was first known as the "Florence M. Dearing" and was built by Royal C. Moore for Charles W. Dearing foreman of the Great Northern Railway round house in Minneapolis. She was named for his daughter. In 1881 Dearing moved to Dearing Island in West Arm Bay and from 1881—1899 he operated the boat for the residents of Saga Hill and West Arm Bay. Dearing sold her to Frank Mann of Birch Bluff in1909 and he rechirstened her the "Ewauna" with headquarters at Birch Bluff and making Upper Lake business a specialty .In 1910 he moved the boat's headquarters to Pembroke Park development near Mound. In the Spring of 1911 he offered her for sale but he was still operating the boat in 1914. It was later sold to Joseph DeGuise and renamed the "Little Jo" and was removed from Lake Minnetonka in 1919. ADOOB by Scott McGinnis
